Kanom Sod Sai

Kanom Sod Sai (also known as kanum sai sai, or kanum sai) is a traditional Thai dessert made from grated coconut meat, rice powder, palm sugar, rice flower, steamed in a banana leaf.

There are many different recipes and ways it can be made, and since it’s a traditional homemade dish, every seller has their own way of doing it.

  5. Oh my gosh!!! I have been craving this dessert ever since traveling to Thailand five years ago. It is SOOOOOO good! I remember I had asked someone what it was called and they said Kanom Tien Sai Sai. Thanks so much for sharing.

  6. @Lisa: Kanom Tien Sai Sai is a different dessert, although it is similar in some ways. Personally, I think Kanom Sod Sai is even mooore delicious :-) Might write about Kanom Tien Sai Sai soon also, thanks for commenting :-)
